Some were here when the house was built.

I love them all but... something out there is making me not like spring very much right now!  Everything is starting to bloom and look so spectacular and I just sneezed all over myself!  I think I have had snot on my person for a week!  I am not cute when I get a runny nose either.   My cousin is so pretty when she cries and or gets sick.  Her nose gets a little red just on the tip, her face does not squinch up, nothing.  Heck, if anything she gets cuter!  Nope, not me, just dang squinched up, red, swollen and messy here!

I am going to wallow in my misery and view a few blogs before going back to the couch.  Oh, and I have to go to the doc tomorrow, that just blows.  I am not even going for this allergy thing, so that makes it blow more.  Okay, I will be nicer next time, I think, I hope, or crap I am just going to be a pitiful grouch till fall!

Just Trying To Get Caught Up And The Easter Monkee

You would think when I leave my house for a few days, that I have been gone for a year.  I have been trying to get myself back on track, plus I have started to spring clean.  It does not help that my allergies are back for the first time in years!  I look like I have been drinking for a month.  Not to mention, the couch keeps beckoning me!  I am such a wimp when I feel bad.

First off, I want to thank Barb for the monkee love!  She made my new banner, yippee!  That did perk me up!  Don't you just love it?  I just love having a banner fairy!

I spent Easter and a few days after at my mama's house.  It was nice for a ton of reasons and she cooks a lot! 

She did not make these cakes but they sure were good!

Aren't they cute?  Can you believe hubby posed Bentley and took the photo.  It is funny, he will say, "where is the monkey?"

After we returned home, I was surprised to see the Easter Monkee in my media room.

I wonder who that masked monkee is?

Okay, enough of my silliness, I need to blog roam, spring clearn or at least think about it and hit the couch for a few days, haha!  I missed you all!  It was sweet that some of you emailed to check on me!  I am here, just a bit whiny!

More Eggcellent Mail!

Get it, eggcellent, Easter, arghahaha!  Okay, I am over myself.  I am so thrilled, I am really not to blame for my gushing silliness!

You have to love anything that comes in a package that says this.....

I ordered this STUNNING piece of Jewelry from GoddessFindings!  I have several relatives that are jewelers and I worked for my uncle for years, so I know well made goodies when I see them!  This is not only gorgeous but extremely well constructed!!!

Please take into consideration, this is a self arm portrait.  They are not as easy to take, as you would think.

Then just to see if southern girls really swoon, Janice sent these....

I did not swoon but came darn close!  I LOVE them too!!!

Then my Pay It Forwards arrived!  Both of them, no waiting for, up to a year here!  I have some big shoes to fill!

This little package from CurlyPops came all the way from Australia!

Oh yummy, look it is pink and pretty stuff!

Oh not only did she send an apron but a headband as well!  You know, I am all about the headband/scarves thing now!!!

I tried self portraits of the headband.  However, the photos would scare small children so you just have to assume it is gorgeous!  I just love it all, thank you Cam!!!!!

If I did not know better I would swear that Jan was my neighbor, she knows me so well!  This PIF from Daylily Lane was spectacular!  Even the box was pretty, those butterflies were too cute!

This is a magnet!  I do not know if you can tell, but those are three of the prettiest ink pens wrapped up in there!

I love butterflies and spring, just look at what else Jan sent!

Plus, she made me some friendship cards!  Wow, they are GORGEOUS!!!!!!  Some lucky folks will be getting these in the mail!!!

But, the cutest and funniest thing ever was that Bentley received a PIF from Jan too!

He was thrilled, just look at what he got!  Yep, that is his fav, Curious George hanging there with some fabulous banana candy!  Isn't that so creative!

All was right with the primate world!  Until.....

I made him share!

Bentley and I cannot thank you enough Jan!  You have brought a ton of smiles and laughter to our home!  You really do rock, love ya!!!!

I am sorry if I missed telling anyone, but Happy (late) Saint Patrick's Day!

Now don't you know, I really turned hubby on wearing these babies!

Total Randomness

I am a mail junkie!  I wish the bills went somewhere else, but alas, I have to take the good with the bad!  But, in my blogworld there is no bad, so I will share my good mail from the last few weeks! 

These little goodies came as a total surprise!  I was shocked when a box arrived from wonderfriend Kai!  Everything in it was soooo perfect!

The teacup is a candle holder, the card was beautiful and the monkey is magnetic!  He was immediately named Nac Nac, after his Godmama!  However, right after the opening there was a commotion...

The B man was not happy!  There was disdain, and jealous shock.  But, after a brief talk amongst the primates in private, Bentley decided he really liked Nac Nac.

I have to wonder what was said????  That Nac Nac sure looks like he is going to give Bentley some well deserved aggravation!  The B Man is a little angry at me right now, he feels this photo shows his love handles a a little too much!

Next came some goodies that I ordered!  I had to have these cards from Jan of course!

Next, up from the beautiful Laura came my wallets!

Look more lagniappe items!  Hostess matches!  I am so thrilled!

Here is my wallet, that I am using as a business card holder.  I can't show the other wallet, as it is a gift and I want it to stay wrapped up all nice and pretty!  Don't you just love those birds! Oh thank you, Laura!!

I cannot say enough good things about Cherie my swap partner!  She totally outdid me, and yes I have offered her cash to make up for her goodies being soooooo much better than mine!  Check this out!

Woohoo, I ordered my CoCo pattern from Mumistitches!  I hope to get started on it very soon!

Seriously, this is one of the clearest, cutest patterns I have ever seen!  I hope there are more to follow!!!

I got this little bit of yarn out of a sale bin, gotta love sales!

   

I know that one day, I will need more than a few skeins for bigger items and I will have to pay full price. But, for now I love finding yarn at great prices!

Okay, my new thing is head scarves worn like head bands, love them all!  I got these two yesterday!

Aren't those colors gorgeous!  They may even make my hair look pretty!

You really love me, said with true Sally Field drama!  As you know I am an award flaunter.  They really are the sweetest things to get and share in blogland!

First off, I got this gem from Kai, my wonderfriend.  If I could, she would sure get it right back.  But, I got a little one for her in a minute!

I want to pass this one on to Charlotte my psychic twin, but she has to share it with the three most beautiful princesses in world!  Bentley said that I had to give it to Jan!  I think that has something to do with a line of cards she created, and named them after him.  Barb gets it for being my banner queen.  Lesley for a ton of reasons, all of them are good!  Jane totally deserves it for sharing herself so well on her blog! Kerry because even when I feel cruddy, I can visit her blog and laugh so hard my side hurts!

Now, I do not mean to gloat, okay, a little but I got another one from Lesley!  She said that I had to share it with mum, so I am in these little letters!

Now for some gratuitous Bentley, YaYa, snow and bird photos from our big snow last weekend!  Of course it only latest a day and a half but it was so nice! We had about 9 inches and then it immediately started melting!  This week it is going to be in the 70's, so Spring is near!

Meme, Meme and a Book Meme!

We are very excited here!  Our first real snow of the year has started and 6 to 10 inches of snow is expected.  As we are a section of society that cannot drive in it, we are beginning to hole up.  Some schools announced their closings yesterday, a day ahead of the storm.  I can actually enjoy this snow, I will be at home and not on the road!  If you are one of those folks that say "I can drive in the snow fine, it is just the other folks I worry about", well then let me tell you....I am the other folk!  I close my eyes when I am under pressure.  I do not believe that whole theory on, steer the way you are sliding, nope I am a firm believer in steering the direction I want to go.  When they say tap your brakes lightly, nope, I am not doing that either.  I am slamming those babies to the floor when I want to stop!  Therefore, I am at home with my vehicle safely in the garage and the people of my state are safe.  They should all send me thank you cards, I feel they owe me.  Okay, maybe not but my insurance company should appreciate me none the less!  This was as far as Bentley and I would venture out, to the mailbox.  The snow was just beginning to stick to things.

Alright, I have been tagged by the beautiful, sweet and talented Ruth, Kai and Samantha for some meme's.  I will combine them, I know a little of Leigh can go a long way, teehee!  I will count that first bit about my driving as number one.

I have my beliefs about religion, etc... but I am fascinated by what others believe.  I throughly enjoy learning about others.  I am friends with people from Catholic to Wiccan beliefs and everywhere in between.  I will not sit in judgment on anyone.  Who knows they may be right, and I would miss out on some of this life's greatest people if I chose to only be with people like myself. 

One of many embarrassing moments I have had.  I am quite klutzy.  I once showed my undies to an entire funeral group at a burial.  I rolled down a hill and took my cousin with me.  Needless to say our skirts were not were they should be when we landed. 

I am spoiled but I always appreciate even the littlest of things.  I am an only child, only grandchild (on one side).  My parents, hubby, aunt, in-laws spoil me, and I love them for it.  I was raised very close to my cousins and I have always thought of them as my siblings.  So, I do not feel I was deprived in any way of that kind of love.

Because of hubby's job we move a lot.  We have lived in Hawaii, Louisiana, Kentucky, Georgia and now here.  We are very lucky to be so close to our families, they all live about an hour away.  We bought this house with the intent to stay, no more moves, yeah!  But, I realize one day a one story house may be in order, so there will possibly be at least one more move.

My mother wanted to name me Breezy Autumn.  My grandmother (who my mother was living with) refused and wanted me named Leigh after Vivian Leigh.  Needless to say my birth certificate said Baby Girl for a long time.  Yep my first name was Baby Girl.  Can you imagine?  What is worse Breezy or Baby?  Thank heavens my Granny won out!

1.  The Book of Common Prayer/Bible

2. Pride and Prejudice - I am reading it for the first time ever and I am right in middle or it probably would not be in the top five.

3.  A good knitting book, because I am sure I would have some yarns and needles with me.

5.  Alicia Paulson's new book, even though it is not out yet.  I would love to have me some good eye candy and you know it is going to be some!
