A Little Bit of 70's With a Frog to Boot

What can you say about a man that finds a book as yummy as this and brings it home to you!  I am in vintage heaven!  Now some more family bragging, do you see that great McCoy frog?  My mama found him at an antique store, gotta love love love him!

My washer has been saved, (Laura, really she is fine)  her propeller thingy had flown out, but she has a new one now!  My AC is totally fixed, not just patched!  The new dishwasher is working great and the roof estimates, etc... are making progress!  Can you say whew!

 

Boo survived CAP encampment, with the accolades to prove it!

 

 

 

I will not show you the amount of laundry he brought home with the awards.  But, my heart is back in place!  A lot of people found humor in my week of worry, I know who you are, haha!  Karen, Diane, Jeff, and the rest!

 

When I complained about not having crafty time, in a previous post I forgot that I have been crafting a bit!  My aunt and mama are teaching me to crochet granny squares and helping me with my technique.  Hopefully, I will have some gorgeousness to show you soon!  I am so ready to fire up one of my sewing machines, I have the urge, haha!  By the way, Hancock Fabrics has their McCall's patterns on sale for only 0.99 until July 18th!

 

Well, I am off!  I will be around blogland in the next day or so to visit and answer emails! 

 

 

I am outta here!!

My wonderful hubby is taking me to the mountains for several days!!!  I am taking my laptop, but, I do not know how much or if any I will be online.  Fear not, when I return I will be back visiting each of you!  Of course, I realize some of you welcome a break from me!!  Did I mention there will be no children or YaYa's going?  My wonderful, gorgeous, smart MUM is coming to watch them!  Bentley, however is very excited that he gets to go!  He only gets to go because he does not need any public restroom breaks that gross his mother out, teehee! 

Here is a little vintage eye candy for you.  It was my husband's grandmothers!  She used it regularly, and it still looks brand new!!

I only use the tablecloth around Valentine's Day and no one gets to eat off of it!  The bowl was his great grandmother's.  I do use it everyday.  Of course this is the table from the Beverly Hillbillies, I wrote about before.  You gotta love the in-laws!

I was sweetly surprised with a Valentine from the ever so lovely Kai!  Woohoo, what a talent with a heart of gold!

in our media room!  It goes so much better than the old one.  Yes, the guest room is all cleaned out too!

Besides making messes and getting sick, I was able to work on this quilt top.  It is sorta what you get when you do not follow directions, but I really like it so far!

A Little of This and a Little of....

YaYa on her machine embroidered blankie.  Don't you just think House Mouse is the cutest? It is one of my favorite embroidery cards.

We have a little bug so we are not straying too far from the couch.  Just so you do not have the wrong impression, YaYa does not stray too far on a good day either.

Vintage coke Santa's are the cutest.  Very smart of coke to do the retro thing again.  (Thanks to my son for holding off on drinking them until I could take a semi-decent picture.)

Gotta love going to Mom's.  I always load up on the vintage goodies from my family.  These are too wonderful.  I am on a search for the missing shaker now.  Look out ebay!
